Known as the Siamese fighting fish, bettas are notorious for being extremely territorial. As long as these guys are kept apart, they are generally quite peaceful. Bettas are also the only fish that can live in a bowl. In the wild, they jump from puddle to puddle on the forest floor and have even evolved to have a pair of lungs in addition to their gills.
